Speaking of shows... we have a FREE show with our dear friend Sleeping States from Bristol, UK. Pants Yell toured with Sleeping States throughout England in the summer of 2006 and our lives were changed. Jaw droppingly beautiful. A true genius and unparalleled talent of our times!

Sorry, it's been a while since my last post. Summer's come and gone and now it's into the autumn. I (Andrew) have been busy drumming with Fluffy Lumbers and am happy to announce the debut of my post-Pants Yell musical project. Songs have been written, demos are being recorded, a band has been put together and now we're playing a show: October 13th at TT the Bears in Cambridge, MA. Stop by, we're on first at 9PM.

We are listed as School Mates for this show but our name going forward will be CUFFS. Stay tuned for more news from CUFFS. This is only the beginning.

Hi everyone,

So, a few words on the end of pants yell. First, it's true - we'll be playing our last show on May 24th. I wouldn't call it a breakup, more like a self imposed expiration date.

Allow me to explain:
To me, pants yell represents something very special and precious and I want to keep that magic intact. I'm no longer the 23 year old singing 'Evan's Way'. I want to branch out stylistically in my songwriting and I feel that it wouldn't be fair to carry on with the name pants yell. I've grown up obsessed with the pop mystique - the Felts, the June Brides, the Ropers and the Adens - the bands that did what they had to do, made some incredibly intelligent music and left it at that. There's a lot to be said in knowing when to leave the party at the right time and that's what we're doing.

I'm extremely proud of everything song we've written, every album we've released, all the amazing shows we've played and especially all of the great friends we've made throughout our 7 years as a band. The music will live on though - you can still purchase our last three records from Slumberland, Soft Abuse and Paper Cities and of course, they are new projects on the horizon.

I've started this online archive to be a repository for pants yell information past and present - lots of photos from our collections, fliers, merch, rare MP3s, and news on upcomming projects. I'm just getting started and if you have anything you'd like to contribute - please do so!
